Month Two; Honduras:
This month was full of…
Ice cold showers. I’m talking Rose from Titanic shivering on a door surrounded by iceberg waters cold. “Just don’t wash your hair, trust me it helps.” In Jesus name we will not get lice. In Jesus name we will NOT get lice! In Jesus name WE WILL NOT GET LICE!!! All-Squad month, all 6 teams. 32 girls, 3 boys, 1 Squad Leader, and 1 Squad Mentor. It’s chilly here, wait… WE CAN WEAR OUR FLANNELS! Bonfires, blue jeans, and layers. It’s beginning to feel a lot like fall. We found our coffee shop for the month! “Hey did you see they changed their WiFi password to ‘WORLDRACE?’” Como dices… “Allen, Allen, Allen!!!” Papusas are gluten free?!?!! There’s an outdoor food court and they serve curly fries!! “Awe you’re not feeling well, it’s probably a parasite.” Dance parties with the residents. You wanna use my music… Taylor Swift it is! “Hola David! Tu es mi amigo!” You guys they have Friends, and it’s in English!! “You shut your secular mouth!” “HAPPY THANKSGIVING!” Gratefulness stones, there’s truly so much to be grateful for! “AIIIIMMMMMYYYYY!!!” The Awakening. Month 2, Month 4… wait you’re in Month 11?!?!! Taking time to process. Let’s process the processing process! What’s your enneagram? “Oh of course you’re the enthusiast, we love a 7!!” Learning to surrender. Surrender fully, surrender often. 4 On a Couch, Fish Bowl, Dutch Blitz, Euker. “That game triggers me.” Lets get to the root of that. So much joy, countless reasons to smile. My word of the month, “joy!”
God you’re so good, I’m so grateful, and I’m so blessed by how You’ve grown me this month. Honduras and Month 2 will forever hold a beautifully special place in my heart!

Love your Fun Blogging skills Meagan! Love hearing the different perspectives of the Magic Treehouse Team. Love the experience each of you are leaning into and doing your best to “Process”. God is with you each of the step of the way. Praying for P-Squad’s safe travels today, a restful debrief over the next couple days and more of God’s Amazingness to come!
I fully expect to learn all these new games when you get back!
Madeline heck to the yes!! I’m for sure bringing all the games I’ve learned home with me, y’all will love them! Love and miss you so much!!
Can’t believe month 2, which sounds epic, has come and gone! Praying for you! Love you!
It is truly so surreal, I cannot believe we leave to head to El Salvador today for month 3! I love you too, and I can’t thank you enough for your prayers!! Give everyone at Summit a big hug for me and tell them I love them!!
I loved hearing of your Honduras adventure and am so excited for your El Salvador adventure.
I am also grateful for the people God puts in our lives to help us learn and grow. God is currently teaching me how to state what I need (and want sometimes) and how to enjoy guy friendships as just that.
We will be praying for you and the team as you begin your ministry in El Salvador, thankful for the way God used each of you in the Honduras and the way He continues to grow you for His service. Love you so much
