We have officially begun month 7 of The World Race!!! Can you believe it, because I sure can’t?!! The past five days my entire squad spent time debriefing all that went on during month 6. It was a beautiful time of reflection, rest, soaking in the Father’s presence, enjoying the company of our squad, bold declarations of the freedoms God has blessed us with and is going to continue sending our way, and haircuts… If you don’t know, now ya know haha.

Our squad all parted ways this morning, leaving Belgrade to head to our various ministry destinations within Serbia. My team and I will be serving in a town about 2 hours North of Belgrade called Novi Sad.

I need to let you guys in on one of the MOST “dad jokes” my dad has ever made that he sent to me today regarding my team’s ministry destination… “Meagan, I heard that when Novi Sad heard your team would be serving there, they decided to change the city’s name to Novi Glad.” -The one and only Greg Thompson. Speaking of glad… I couldn’t be more glad, more excited, and more thankful for this current season of life that God has me in. I can already tell that this month is going to be an incredible one for my team and I! At Debrief we had the opportunity to pray over one another as teammates, and pray over our upcoming month here in Novi Sad. The Lord laid many things on our hearts as we expectantly prayed over what was to await us here.

Please continue praying for my team and I, who by the way, have an additional 7th teammate for the month!! One of our squad leader’s, the amazing Kaitlin Church, is living and serving alongside us for all of month 7. We are so excited to have her along as an honorary member of team SONshine and know that she will bring wonderful direction and light to our team! We officially begin our first day of ministry here in Serbia tomorrow, and we couldn’t be more excited!

I’ll be sure to keep you guys posted with what we are doing and what life looks like for us here in Serbia as we get more settled. Until then, thank you for your constant support and as always I’m sending my love direct from Novi Sad to wherever this blog may find you!
