   And just like that, my team and I have reached our fourth and final week of ministry here in Kampong Thom. We will be heading back to Siem Reap to join the rest of our squad on Friday evening, so please be praying for a safe bus ride back and a beautiful reunion that it is sure to be at seeing our friends we’ve been apart from for the past month!

     I truly can’t believe it’s already time to leave this place that we’ve had the blessing of calling our home for the past month. These four weeks have been so full and I’m reflecting on the goodness and intentionality of God as I reminisce on all of the memories we’ve made!

Some of my FAVORITE moments from this past month have been…

  1. THANKSGIVING!!! This was hands down one of my favorite Thanksgiving’s that I’ve ever experienced and I still can’t help but to smile as I reflect on how sweet this day was! From shopping in the market together, cooking our own Thanksgiving dinner that included sweet potatoes and sautéed veggies, speaking feedback of thankfulness over each individual on the team, to dancing and singing loudly to “I Thank God” after dinner and then ending our night by all watching “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” together, it has quite easily flown to the top of my list of favorite days from The Race so far!

2.
The opportunities that God has blessed us with at Good Seed School! We’ve       gotten to paint murals, and dance and play with the kids. The girls have gotten to teach in classrooms on various topics such as General Conversation, Storytelling, Health, and Art! I’ve gotten to teach lessons on Grammar with some of the staff, and even got to be a judge for a Speaking Competition that the school hosted for its ESL (English as a Second Language) students. We’ve done “market days” where we were accompanied to the local market with small groups of students and then had the opportunity to prepare our own lunch and dinner with the ingredients we purchased! And even got to host worship nights at the school where we were joined by members of the staff as we sang out songs to our Heavenly Father.

3.
Anytime spent with my team!! We have SO LOVED having a house just to the 7 of us this month and even referred to it as “The Dream House.” Time together as a team has looked like playing card games, worship sessions in my bedroom during our lunch break from school, our first Saturday here that we spent at a “waterpark,” walks to “the big mart” or Tela Mart, watching movies and now CHRISTMAS MOVIES, the afternoon we spent at a hotel pool, doing our best to barter at the market when we wanted fruits or veggies, LOTS of head checks once we realized some of the team had lice, book club every Friday, and huddling around the “Googie Pixie” as we tried to figure out how much riel each of us owed for our Nahm order so we could get coffee delivered via a moto.

   If you couldn’t tell, I could go on and on about the blessings that have come about from this month. God has been so faithful to remind me that He has me exactly where I’m supposed to be for this season of my life and that He will continue to guide and guard my heart on both the good and bad days. I feel so thankful that He has given me this opportunity, that He has blessed me with the team that I have the honor of leading, and for every moment that came from our time at Good Seed School in Kampong Thom. To God be the glory and I can’t wait to see what lies before us for the rest of our time left here in Cambodia!

Sending you love, light, and laughter direct from Kampong Thom, Cambodia,

     – Meagan!

|| PRAYER REQUESTS: ||

  1. With the Christmas season upon us, the BIGGEST possible GIFT you could bless me with would be to make a donation toward my trip!! I’m still about $2,800 from becoming fully funded, so I would be the MOST honored if you would partner with me in this way today to help me continue doing this work that God has called me to!! (Click the donation button on my blog and it will redirect you to where you can make a tax deductible donation on my behalf today).
  2. Travel for our 3 teams that have been away this past month as we head back to Siem Reap. My team, Arukah, will be traveling from Kampong Thom, Selah from Kampot, and Epimone from Golden Mountain. We will all be bussing on Friday, so prayers for safe travels!!
