The One Where I SQUAD LEAD!!!

It is with the utmost JOY and EXCITEMENT that I am writing you this blog!! For those of you who followed along with my World Race journey, are you ready for round 2?!! ?? And to those of you who may be new to my blog and supporting my work in missions, I want to give you a big “WELCOME!” ??

Many of you know that from October 2018 to August of 2019, I had the incredible opportunity to go on The World Race, an 11 month mission trip where my sole job was to spread the love of God simply by showing love to, and serving His people! Towards the end of my time on The World Race, I knew that God was calling me into a life of missions, I however didn’t know what that was going to look like. Never could I have imagined that upon returning back to the US after my Race what my life was about to entail. I dealt with many things that I honestly wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy, but I also wouldn’t change a single one of those things. You see, I truly believe that God has been able to use and will continue using those things that I have walked through to help others. So while I knew that God was calling me into missions while I was still on my Race, I also knew that He was telling me “not yet.” I knew there was more I had to learn, more growth that I needed to experience, and more trials that God wanted to walk me through, right on through to the other side into true freedom. I am currently in such a beautiful season of life and I couldn’t be more thankful for how much farther I know my Heavenly Father is still going to take me! 

This upcoming fall, I will be serving as a Squad Leader for The World Race Gap Year program!! Gap Year is a 9 month program for 17-20 year old’s wanting to do just as its name suggests and take a “gap year” with the purpose and intent of being the hands and feet of Jesus. This program will allow its participants the beautiful opportunity to pair with local ministry partners in communities to which they travel, as they spread the Gospel while also meeting tangible needs within those communities! 

As I said, I’ll be a Squad Leader for one of the 3 Gap Year squads launching this fall, and I couldn’t be more excited!! As a Squad Leader I will have the honor of getting to disciple this next generation of believers as I live alongside them for 9 months of deeply intimate and intentional Christ-centered community! 

I have to raise $6,000 to Squad Lead and am currently just under $2,000, but just as I’ve seen God do it before, I’m KNOWING He’ll do it again and help this money to not be an obstacle. I would LOVE for you to partner with me in helping to see Kingdom come and I have some very tangible ways that will allow you to do so!!

1. PRAY!!!  ???? Pray for the individuals who have been called to Gap Year, those of us who will have the honor of leading and walking alongside of them, and for the communities and every single person that God will give us the privilege of getting to come into contact with over the course of these 9 months.
