Hellllllooooo all you beautiful people and an oh so happy September the 13th to you! We’ve made it to DAY 13 of my blogging challenge and if you’ve been around since Day 1, you deserve a trophy… Seeing as I don’t have those at my disposal just to pass out willy nilly, I’ll instead give you my love and tell you that your support means so very much to me! Thank you for being awesome and continuing to keep up as I post!! Today’s is a FUN one I promise!!!

Within my squad there are 6 different teams made up of 6 people. I wanted to take this time to introduce you to the 5 individuals that I will be traveling with, doing ministry with, and doing life with while on The World Race! In order to do so, I asked them a series of questions so that you could truly get to know a little bit more about each of them. I HIGHLY encourage you to go subscribe to all of their blogs as well because I love them and I just know that you will too! Pray for them, love them like you love me, and if you feel led to help them out you can do so by DONATING so we can all GO serve together!!

It with great honor and pride that I present to you my people, my sisters, my TEAM

TEAM MAGIC TREEHOUSE!

The 6 of us answered the following questions:

1. How old are you? When is your birthday? (feel free to send us some birthday love seeing as we’ll be out of the country for it)

2. Where is your hometown, or where do you currently reside?

3. What’s something fun/funny/interesting about yourself?

4. What brought you to The World Race?

5. And seeing as our team name is Magic Treehouse… What was your favorite Magic Tree House book as a child?

Let’s do this thing shall we???

Hannah Busch

Beauty For Ashes Representative

1. I’m 22, and my birthday is April the 18th.

2. I was born in East Lansing, but I’m currently living on Mackinac Island, Michigan.

3. My fact is that I fell off my hammock at Training Camp and got a concussion. (True story folks, you can read all about that in this blog that Hannah shared: Training Camp: bucket showers, a beach cabana, and a concussion )

4. I heard about The World Race while reading The Lipstick Gospel, a testimonial about a former racer.

5. I don’t have one  (I could so totally see Hannah being a fan of Dolphins at Daybreak).

Summer Conneen

Team Leader

1. I’m 22, and I actually just had my birthday not too long ago on August 22nd!

2. My hometown is Melbourne, Florida, but I currently live in Tampa, Florida.

3. A random fact about me is that I LOVE dream catchers! I collect them, have a wall of them in my room, and even a tattoo of one!!

4. The Holy Spirit brought me to The Race, it’s not something that was on my radar even the slightest bit!

5. DINOSAURS BEFORE DARK is my favorite Magic Tree House Book!

Rè Hollingsworth

Worship Leader

1. My birthday is on February 1st and I’m 21 years old.

2. I’m from a small town called Royse City, TX, which is about 40 minutes from Dallas.

3. A fun fact about me is that I have a partial photographic memory. As a result, I have a VERY extensive knowledge of random facts, I can navigate to basically any place if I’ve seen a map and driven (or walked) there once, I can memorize a paragraph if I record myself saying it and listen to it for 10-20 minutes (depending on the length of the recording), and I know way too much about a long list of actors whose biographies and filmographies I’ve researched.

4. God really confirmed to me that I’m looking at doing missions longterm. A friend of mine had done it, so, after I got confirmation, The Race was immediately what came to mind. This is kind of the starting place where I can dive into understanding international missions as I look forward to a future on the field.

5. My favorite Magic Tree House book is either Mummies in the Morning, or Day of the Dragon King! I loved the cultures that were explored through those in particular!

Emjay Lohnes

Logistics Coordinator

1. I am 23 years old; my birthday is May 11, 1995.

2. I live in Greer, South Carolina.

3. An interesting fact about me is that I have a highly sensitive sense of smell.

4. What brought me to The World Race… My spontaneous nature.

5. I never read those books as a kid, so I have no idea lol. (I could honestly see her being a fan of Night of the Ninjas, that one was pretty cool and Emjay is super cool so they’d go hand in hand)

Cari Phillips

Team Treasurer

1. I’m 23, and my birthday is January 28th.

2. I’ve moved a lot, but I live in Lexington, Virginia and claim Asheville, North Carolina as home too.

3. An interesting fact about me, I am working in Switzerland in between Training Camp and launch. (she’s there RIGHT now, which is just the coolest thing ever. Cari you amaze me)

4. What brought me to The World Race… I’ve known about it and have been interested since high school and was just waiting until I finished undergrad to go!

5. Favorite Magic Tree House book… I actually didn’t grow up reading them, but I remember my friends did. I just googled them though and Polar Bears Past Bedtime would probably be my first pick.

Meagan Thompson

Lead Storyteller

1. Hi guys!! I’m 24 years old, and my birthday is March 21st!

2. I was born and raised in Newnan, Georgia which is about an hour South of Atlanta.

3. I am TERRIFIED of ladybugs…

4. I felt God calling me into missions when ads for The World Race starting popping up everywhere and I looked into it. I came to find out that a friend from high school was off serving on The World Race so I was able to talk to her about it, and after praying about it I knew that’s where God was leading me as well!

5. Easily Christmas in Camelot because it combines two of my FAVORITE things… CHRISTMAS (I’m basically Buddy the elf) and the story of Camelot and King Arthur.

I mean COME ON just take a look at this FAB five that I get the honor of serving with, how could you NOT love them?!!

*I snapped this pic after one of our field scenarios at Training Camp

Oh… and for anyone asking about our team name, we picked it because we had the word “PERSPECTIVE” spoken over us by our incredible squad mentor Madie (you should follow along with her journey TOO cause you’ll absolutely LOVE her)! She said that when she looked at our team she thought of being able to have perspective and the ability to see the entire picture rather than just what was in front of us. We began brainstorming what this meant to us and at first we came up with the name Zoom, but ultimately felt that this would make people think of zooming in rather than out. We wanted something that would give us perspective and put us in a lookout type position, so we started thinking… Watchtower… no, Peak… no, Lookout… no, then FINALLY it hit us: TREEHOUSE, and without missing a beat we said TEAM MAGIC TREEHOUSE and the rest is history!
